(JAMESTOWN, N.D.) –- Haybuster announced this week the release of the 2564 Balebuster with dual discharge option, which will be available in early 2011. The new option will allow the operator to feed without the use of the fan discharge.
The dual discharge conveyor makes it easy for the owner to feed into a bunk, tire or on the ground, which is difficult to do using the fan discharge.
“The current 2564 can blow straw up to 100 feet, which is 50 feet farther than any other Balebuster,” said Al Goehring of Haybuster. “However, we had requests for an option for the users who want to feed hay in a bunk. The 2564 fan option cannot be throttled back to make feeding into a bunk or on the ground a useable option.”
The new conveyor option blocks the fan opening and prevents the product from entering the fan. The auger then directs the ground hay into the conveyor for easy, clean delivery into the feed bunk.
Conversion from fan to the discharge conveyor can be accomplished in a matter of minutes, which gives the 2564 an additional use on the farm. The curved spout and fan can also be used as a bunk cleaner prior to feeding.
The dual discharge option is not compatible with existing machines. It will be available on the 2011 production of the 2564 Balebuster.
